Cluj is quite lovely with its mixture of Romanian, Hungarian, and German roots. The architecture is amazing, with lots of detail ironwork, lovely terraces with lots of flowers, and plenty of public art. The food is delicious. So far, I’ve been able to sample a traditional Hungarian dish of egg noodles, farmer’s cheese, and bacon, a delicious thick but not quite creamy mushroom soup with lots of paprika, and the traditional polenta casserole layered with a salty, feta-like cheese and some sour cream on top. When will someone develop a “taste-a-vision” plugin for this blogging software, yeah???<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
